Baseball Sim Leagues is a baseball league you run from your phone. You draft a team, set a lineup and a rotation, and the server plays the games on a schedule your league chooses. Then you come back to box scores, standings and the trade offer somebody sent at midnight.
It is free, it runs in any browser, and a league is playable with one person: every empty seat is a CPU manager with a personality of its own.
Why we built it
The sims we loved asked for an evening at a desk. The fantasy apps we used were about someone else's games. We wanted the middle: a real simulation, where your decisions matter, that fits in the gaps of a day.
So the pace is up to the league. Quick Hit plays a 60-game season in about ten days, three sims a day. Classic 162 plays three game-days every night for eight weeks. Weekend Blitz leaves your weekdays alone. And a solo sandbox has no schedule at all.
What is in it
- Drafts, live with a pick clock or slow with hours per pick, with queues, needs and chat.
- A full season: lineups against righties and lefties, a rotation and bullpen roles, trades, waivers, injuries, playoffs, awards, then next season with keepers or a redraft.
- Tournaments from 4 to 64 teams: knockout, double elimination or pool play.
- Real seasons. Every player from 2019 and 1998, free, rated from play-by-play. With Premium: 2016, 2001, 1986, and an experimental 1927 where you can draft Ruth and Gehrig.
- The game itself, played plate appearance by plate appearance, with a box score, play-by-play and win-probability chart for every game.
Free, and Premium
Everything above is free, with no ads. Premium is for people who run a lot of leagues: fifty instead of five, every historical season, bigger tournaments, live sims, commissioner tools, team colours and advanced stats. It costs $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year (CAD), and you can cancel any time.
