Privacy Policy

What we keep

• Your email address, display name, handle and time zone.
• Your password, stored only as a one-way hash.
• What you do in the game: your leagues, teams, lineups, trades, chat messages and reports you file.
• When you agreed to these terms, and which version.
• Your IP address, briefly, to limit sign-in attempts and stop abuse.
• Messages you send through our contact form: your name, email and message. They are stored so we can reply, and deleted on request.
• If you subscribe to Premium: your plan, its status and renewal date, and the reference Stripe gives us for your customer record. Never your card details.
• Only if you opt in to our newsletter: your email address, and a record of your consent — when you gave it, where (the website footer or the sign-up form), and the exact wording you agreed to.

We ask the year you were born at sign-up to check your age. It is checked and then discarded — never stored.

Who sees it

People in your leagues see your display name, handle, team and what you post there. A link you share shows that game or season to whoever opens it. Your email address is never shown to other players.

Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf, and our email provider sends account emails such as password resets. If you subscribe to Premium, Stripe processes the payment and holds your card and billing address under its own privacy policy; we receive only whether the payment went through. We will share information with authorities only when the law requires it.

Newsletter

The newsletter is optional and off unless you tick its box. We send it through our email provider, Resend. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time — by that link or by writing to us — without affecting your account. When you unsubscribe we keep a note that you did, so we never email you again by mistake.

Cookies and storage

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, a cookie for the hide-scores setting, and your browser’s own storage for small preferences on your device. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Analytics and ads on this website

This website (baseballsimleagues.com, not the game) can use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, and Google AdSense to show ads. Analytics loads only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. The AdSense script is part of every page (Google uses it to verify the site), but it is held paused: no ad is requested until you accept, and if you decline you see the site without ads. Change your answer any time with “Cookie choices” at the bottom of every page; it is kept in your browser’s storage.

With your consent, Google and its partners use cookies to measure visits and to choose and measure ads, which can be based on your visits to this and other sites. Google processes this under its own privacy policy; you can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. A Premium subscription will remove ads where we show them. The game at app.baseballsimleagues.com uses no analytics or advertising cookies.

How long

Old play-by-play is trimmed over time; box scores and standings stay with your league. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time, and you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you.

Children

Baseball Sim Leagues is not for children under the minimum age shown at sign-up, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
